Holes inside reality. The photos taken between Florence, Rome and Shangai by Edoardo Fanteria describe urban tissues with a recurring element: scaffoldings. Sometimes threateningly and sometimes more silently, they hide things that used to be there but now are invisible, involved in a process of transformation becoming signs of a critical process that re-discusses reality.
Rather than in the scaffoldings themselves and their installation, the artistic gesture lies in their photographical narration. A operation of re-reading of reality starts and an analogy is raised: as the scaffoldings re-read the reality inside the pictures, so the photos become the site of a critical operation towards reallity.
Edoardo Fanteria is a student of the architecture school of the university of Florence and finalist photographer of the international photography contest ‘Next Landmark Milan 2015′.
After too many years a man asks himself a few questions. Lorenzo Volpe shows his doubts, his fragilities. How many chocolates has he eaten to go carefree to bed? How many table-tennis games against himself has he refused? Inspired by a monologue written by Harold Pinter.
Lorenzo Volpe is an actor at Teatro della Pergola and Teatro Niccolini, Florence, and member of the collective ‘I Nuovi’.
